    Protein Summary

    Pfam note: This is a member of our UPF0150 family - another class of families with unknown function. This is part of a clan that also contains DUF1902. There is not much know about either family. The only functional information we have is: 'These families are characterised by sharing a 2-layer, beta(3)-alpha-beta topol ogy. Domains dimerise via the long C-terminal strand with the formation of a sin gle beta-sheet.' And from the paper on the structure: Based on the properties and functions of structural homologues of the TTHA0281 m onomer, the TTHA0281 protein is speculated to be involved in RNA metabolism, inc luding RNA binding and cleavage. This was based on 2dsy - there may be some more functional information there.



    Gene NP_785364.1 encodes a protein with 96 residues from LACTOBACILLUS PLANTARUM with Isoelectric Point of 4.09.  The NCI blast sequence alignment can not indicate any conserved motif for this target other than hypothetic protein.   No structural homolog has been suggested by Dali sever.
