    Protein Summary

    N-terminal part has sequence similarity to predicted flavin-nucleotide-binding proteins (COG3467) and pyridoxamine 5`-phosphate oxidase protein family (Pfam01243). However, the residues corresponding to FMN-binding cleft are not conserved here indicating that this protein fold (SCOP: FMN-binding split barrel [50474]) is used here to perform functions other then proteins from Pfam01243. Residues in putative FMN-binding cleft are not conserved.

    Analysis of the crystallographic packing of NP_828636 using the PQS server {Henrick, 1998 #73} indicates that a dimer is the biologically relevant form.
