    Pfam family PFAM:PF09351 {Domain of unknown function (DUF1993) } with 255 members in NR database and additional 147 members in the metagenomic datasets is represented in Bacteria, and Eukaryota. The first structural representative solved (PDB Id: TOPSAN:2oqm) was subject to FATCAT structural similarity search that indicated similarity to SCOP (v. 1.73) domain SCOP:d1rxqa_ classified as Dinb/yfit-like putative metalloenzymes fold. (Note: new fold solved by PSI). Profile-profile methods confirm remote homology between this family and superfamily of Dinb/yfit-like putative metalloenzymes; fold of the same name. Based on remote homology confirmed by the structure one can hypothesize that this family is probably binds nucleic acids, possibily damage inducible proteins
