    Summary

    Pfam family PFAM:PF08933 {Domain of unknown function (DUF1864) } with 61 members in NR database and additional 28 members in the metagenomic datasets is represented in Bacteria. The first structural representative solved (PDB Id: TOPSAN:1zee) was subject to FATCAT structural similarity search that indicated similarity to SCOP (v. 1.73) domain SCOP:d1li5a1 classified as Indolic compounds 2,3-dioxygenase-like fold. (Note: new fold solved by PSI). However, this partial similarity is not sufficient for fold assignment. Thus it is a novel fold. Based on fold, ligands one can hypothesize that this family is oxidoreductase; putative 2,3-Dioxygenase; HEM in the core
