    Pfam family PFAM:PF08830 {Protein of unknown function (DUF1806)} with 43 members in NR database and additional 2 members in the metagenomic datasets is represented in Bacteria. The first structural representative solved (PDB Id: TOPSAN:1njh) was subject to FATCAT structural similarity search that indicated similarity to SCOP (v. 1.73) domain SCOP:d1kq1a_ classified as Hypothetical protein yojf; some similarity to N-terminal domain of MutM-like DNA repair proteins fold. (Note: new fold solved by PSI). However, this partial similarity is not sufficient for fold assignment. Thus it is a novel fold.
