    Summary

    Pfam family PFAM:PF07566 {Domain of Unknown Function (DUF1543)} with 193 members in NR database and additional 140 members in the metagenomic datasets is represented in Bacteria. The first structural representative solved (PDB Id: TOPSAN:2qsd) was subject to FATCAT structural similarity search that indicated similarity to SCOP (v. 1.73) domain SCOP:d1vq3a_ classified as Purs-like fold. (Note: duplication, fold solved earlier by PSI). However, no sequence similarity to this fold has been detected. Based on fold one can hypothesize that this family is probably involved in purine metabolism
