    Summary

Pfam family PFAM:PF04591 {Protein of unknown function, DUF596 } with 30 members in NR database. The first structural representative solved (PDB Id: TOPSAN:2o5h) was subject to FATCAT structural similarity search that indicated similarity to SCOP (v. 1.73) domain SCOP:d1cf7b_ classified as DNA/RNA-binding 3-helical bundle fold. (Note: additional/lacking secondary structure elements). However, no sequence similarity to this fold has been detected. Based on fold one can hypothesize that this family is probably binds nucleic acids
