    Pfam family PFAM:PF04255 {Protein of unknown function (DUF433)} with 249 members in NR database and additional 157 members in the metagenomic datasets is represented in Archaea, and Bacteria. The first structural representative solved (PDB Id: TOPSAN:2ga1) was subject to FATCAT structural similarity search that indicated similarity to SCOP (v. 1.73) domain SCOP:d1ku3a_ classified as DNA/RNA-binding 3-helical bundle fold. (Note: additional/lacking secondary structure elements). Based on marginal prediction from FFAS confirmed by structural similarity one can argue that this family is remotely homologous to previously known structures from 'd1ku3a_' this fold. Based on fold and evidence of homology one can hypothesize that this family is probably binds nucleic acids
